Annual exams are recommended to evaluate your pet for changes due to aging that may require intervention to prolong healthy life. Routine parasite testing is important to diagnose intestinal parasites that may be present, some of which are zoonotic (transferable to people).

We recommend all dogs - regardless of their living circumstances - be vaccinated against the following:

Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordatella, and Leptospirosis

In addition, the following vaccines may be appropriate for your dog based on immediate environment and lifestyle:

Lyme Disease is a bacterial disease spread through tick bites, which are common occurrences in Florida. If your pet spends time outdoors and in wooded areas, consider a Lyme Disease vaccine to protect this dangerous infection, which can cause lameness and even death.

Canine Influenza is a contagious disease that's easily spread among dogs. It can cause coughing, runny nose, and malaise. The good news is that it's easily preventable trough a simple vaccine.

Heartworm disease is a potentially fatal disease that is transmitted by mosquitoes. Though deadly, heartworm disease is highly preventable through a variety of safe, easy and inexpensive options. In fact, when medication is administered properly on a timely schedule, heartworm infection can be completely prevented. An annual heartworm test is required before heartworm preventives can be dispensed.

Rabies, Feline Distemper, Upper Respiratory

In addition, the following vaccines may be appropriate for your cat based on immediate environment and lifestyle:

Feline Leukemia - see below for further details.

Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (Feline AIDS) are dangerous conditions that can lead to other potentially lethal diseases Testing for both conditions is recommended for newly-adopted kittens. It is highly recommended for new cats being introduced into a household with other cats and before initially vaccinating for feline leukemia.

We provide general and orthopedic veterinary surgery.  Comprehensive dentistry, including digital radiography for both dogs and cats.

As many people know, there are far more dogs and cats in the US than there are people to care for them.  Many animals languish in shelters waiting for adoption.  Many more than we would like to think are euthanized.  Spaying and Neutering is the best way to achieve population control.

Our staff groomer is available Monday - Friday mornings beginning at 8:00 am to meet all of your pets grooming needs.

We highly recommend our clients get a microchip for each of their pets.  Your pet can receive a microchip and be electronically registered while you wait or during their visit for vaccinations, grooming, or boarding.  The process takes less than 10 minutes and costs $48.00.

We offer a variety of flea and heartworm prevention products. We also offer a variety of supplements and shampoos for all your pets needs.  Plus, our pharmacy is completely stocked with a wide variety of medications.  If we don't carry a product we will be happy to call in a prescription for you at your choice of pharmacies.
